Intimacy Direction

Create connection with care.

Creative collaboration, clear boundaries and care in every room.

Intimacy practice that protects the work.

Intimacy direction gives performers and creative teams a shared language for rehearsal and performance. We support scenes involving intimacy, nudity, simulated sex and emotionally demanding material with clarity, consent and imaginative craft.

Intimacy is not only about sex or romance. It is a gateway for connection, trust and risk-taking, and it deserves the same preparation as any other demanding moment in a production.

Our approach is collaborative and non-judgemental. We work alongside directors, performers, stage management and production teams from first conversation through to the final performance.

Rachel and Ruth are members of the Intimacy Practitioners Guild.

A safe, well-held room gives performers the freedom to do their most truthful work.
